Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect your information when you use wynora.co and your Wynora data portal.

EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 28, 2026

Who we are

Wynora LLC ("Wynora", "we", "us") helps companies license their business data, such as engineering files, operational records and software data, for use in training and evaluating AI. We run the website at wynora.co and the data portal at data.wynora.co (together, the "Services").

This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It does not cover the business data your company licenses to us, which is covered by your licensing agreement (see "Data you license to us"). Questions? Email privacy@wynora.co.

What we collect

Information you give us

  • The Get an offer form: your name, work email, mobile number, company website and your answers about your company (for example, company size, years in business and type of business).
  • Your portal account: your email address and, if you set one, a password. We never see or store your password itself, only a scrambled (hashed) version.
  • Your Data Manifest: details about your company and its data, such as legal name, address, contacts and titles, employee counts, the software and tools you use, data sizes and dates, any notes, and the link to a shared folder of sample files if you choose to share one.
  • Agreement and payment details: if you move forward, the legal and signer details needed for the licensing agreement and the bank details needed to pay you.
  • Calls and messages: what you send us by email, text or phone, and notes our team takes on calls with you. Calls may be recorded for quality and record-keeping where the law allows, and we will tell you at the start of any call that is recorded.
  • Anything else you choose to share with us in connection with the Services.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage and device data: pages visited and in what order, links clicked, the page that sent you to us, browser and device type, operating system, language, date and time of your visit, approximate location (city, state or ZIP code) from your IP address, and similar data from cookies and similar technologies.
  • Our own visit log: on wynora.co we keep a simple log of visits using a random ID stored in your browser, the page, where the visit came from and whether it was a phone, tablet or computer. It contains no names or emails.
  • Advertising and analytics tags: we use the Meta Pixel and Google Analytics to understand how our pages perform and to measure our ads. See "Cookies and analytics" and "Online advertising" below, including when these are turned off.
  • Email activity: our emails may tell us whether they were opened and which links were clicked.

Information from other sources

  • Public business information: to check that a company is real and active, we may review public sources such as your website, domain and email records, business registrations and Google Business Profile listings.
  • Data partners: if we introduce you to a data partner, that partner may tell us whether you signed up, booked a call or reached an agreement, so we can follow up with you and keep track of our referrals.

How we use it

  • To create and run your portal, keep you signed in and keep your account secure.
  • To review your Data Manifest and prepare estimated and written offers.
  • To contact you by phone, text or email about your company's data, your offer and next steps.
  • To introduce you to a data partner, or share your details with our licensing partner, when you choose to move forward (see "How we share it").
  • To prepare and carry out licensing agreements and payments.
  • To measure and improve our website, portal and advertising, and to build new features.
  • To find and fix technical problems and keep the Services secure.
  • To prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, meet legal obligations and protect our legal rights.
  • For any other purpose you agree to.

Combined information. We may combine what we collect through the Services with information from the other sources above, and use it as described in this policy.

De-identified information. We may turn information into a form that can no longer reasonably identify you or your device. We may use and share de-identified information for any lawful purpose, and we do not try to re-identify it.

Legal bases

If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another place whose law requires a legal basis for using personal information, we rely on the following:

  • Contract: to provide the Services you sign up for and to carry out offers and licensing agreements.
  • Legitimate interests: to run and secure our business, communicate with you about your company's data, measure our advertising, prevent fraud and protect our legal rights, where those interests are not outweighed by your rights.
  • Legal obligation: to meet tax, accounting and other legal requirements.
  • Consent: where we ask for it, such as for texts or certain cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.

How we share it

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as follows:

  • Data partners: for companies we refer to a data partner, we share your contact details and Data Manifest with that partner so they can review your data and make you an official offer. When we introduce you by email, you are copied on it.
  • Licensing partners: when we license data from your company, we share your Data Manifest, contact details and your sample folder link with our licensing partner, so it can review and approve the deal and make an offer. Licenses you sign with Wynora may be assigned to that licensing partner, which then pays you directly, so we also share the details needed for your agreement and payment. Licensing partners must keep this information confidential. We may also share a summary of your Data Manifest, without your company name, website or contact details, with other prospective licensing partners.
  • Service providers: companies that run parts of our service for us, such as website and database hosting, email and text delivery, phone systems, scheduling, analytics, advertising measurement, payment processing, legal and accounting services and internal notifications. They may only use the information to provide their service to us.
  • Advertising partners: Meta and Google receive information through the tags on our website, as described in "Online advertising". Some state laws call this a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information even though no money changes hands. You can opt out as described in "Opting out of ads".
  • Legal and safety: when we believe in good faith it is required by law or legal process, or needed to enforce our agreements, investigate fraud or other wrongdoing, or protect the rights, safety and property of you, us or others.
  • Business changes: if Wynora is involved in, or preparing for, a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, bankruptcy or similar event, as part of that transaction.
  • With your consent: in any other case where you ask us to or agree to it.

Data you license to us

The business data your company licenses (for example files, records or exports) is covered by your licensing agreement, not by this policy. Before it is used for any model training, it is de-identified, anonymized and scrubbed of Personal Identifying Information (PII).

We only accept data your company owns or has the right to share. Do not include customer data, export-controlled data, or other information you are not allowed to share.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small text files saved in your browser. Some last only until you close your browser and others stay longer so a site can recognize you on your next visit. We and our providers use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your choices, understand which pages are used and how, measure our ads and keep the Services secure.

Our website uses Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel. In the portal at data.wynora.co we use PostHog to record how pages are used (clicks, scrolling and which screens you visit) so we can find and fix confusing steps. Anything you type into a form is masked and never appears in these recordings. The portal does not use advertising tags.

Tracking is off for some visitors. We do not load the Meta Pixel or Google Analytics for browsers that send a Global Privacy Control signal. We also do not load them for visitors in California, except on our page for AI data buyers (wynora.co/source).

You can set your browser to warn you about cookies or to block or delete them. Each browser's help pages explain how. If you block cookies, parts of the Services, such as staying signed in to the portal, may not work. You can also stop Google Analytics from using your visits by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Online advertising

We advertise Wynora on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google. The tags on our website let these companies see that you visited our pages or submitted a form, so we can measure which ads work and show Wynora ads to people who have shown interest. When you submit the Get an offer form, the Meta Pixel may also send your email address and phone number to Meta in a scrambled (hashed) form so Meta can match the form to an ad. When you submit the request form on wynora.co/source, our server also sends Meta your email address and name in hashed form for the same purpose. Meta and Google may combine this with other information they hold about you, under their own privacy policies.

You can manage the ads you see in your Meta and Google account settings, and learn about opting out of interest-based ads from many companies at the Digital Advertising Alliance's WebChoices page. We do not control these tools and cannot promise how well they work. Opting out does not stop ads. It means the ads you see are not based on your browsing. Opting out usually works one browser and one device at a time, so repeat it on each one you use.

Calls, texts and emails

When you submit the Get an offer form, you agree that we may call or text the number you gave us about your company's data and your offer. These messages are not marketing for unrelated products. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts at any time, reply HELP for help, or tell us on a call.

We do not share mobile numbers with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

To stop emails from us, use the unsubscribe link in the email or write to privacy@wynora.co. Even after you opt out, we may still send messages about your account, an offer or agreement in progress, or changes to this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as your portal account is active and as needed to finish any offer, agreement or payment, and then for as long as needed to meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations or resolve disputes. When we no longer need it, we delete it or de-identify it.

Sample files stay in your own storage, such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive or SharePoint. You share a folder link with us, we pass that link to our licensing partner for its review, and we do not copy the files. You control access and can turn off sharing at any time, for example once the review is done or a license is signed.

How we protect it

We use encrypted connections, access controls and reputable hosting providers to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access or changes. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Access to your Data Manifest is limited to you and our team. No website, email or internet connection is perfectly secure, so please keep your sign-in details private and tell us right away if you think your account has been used without your permission.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK, or a U.S. state with a privacy law such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah or Virginia), you may have the right to ask us to:

  • confirm whether we hold personal information about you, tell you what we hold, where it came from, why we use it and who we share it with,
  • give you a copy of it, in a commonly used electronic format you can take elsewhere,
  • correct information that is wrong,
  • delete your information, unless we need to keep it for a legal reason or an agreement in progress,
  • limit or stop certain uses of your information,
  • withdraw consent you gave us,
  • opt out of targeted advertising and of "sales" of your information (see "Opting out of ads"),
  • for residents of Oregon, Connecticut and Minnesota, give you a list of the specific third parties we have shared your information with.

To make a request, email privacy@wynora.co, ideally from the address on your account. We may need to confirm your identity before acting, and we will respond within the time the law requires. Some information may be exempt from a request under the law. Where the law allows, you can name an authorized agent to make a request for you. We will ask for your signed permission or a power of attorney, and may confirm your identity directly with you.

If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision or emailing privacy@wynora.co with the subject "Appeal". Include your name, the email you used with us and a copy of our decision. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

We will not treat you differently for using these rights. We do not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you based only on automated processing.

Opting out of ads

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, our advertising and analytics tags do not load, so nothing is shared with Meta or Google from that browser. You can also email privacy@wynora.co with the subject "Opt Out" and we will stop using your information for targeted advertising and stop any sharing that state law treats as a "sale". This works alongside the browser and industry tools described in "Online advertising".

We do not respond to "Do Not Track" browser settings, which are different from Global Privacy Control and are not a legal standard. We do honor Global Privacy Control as described above.

California residents

California law asks us to describe the personal information we collect, why, and who receives it. Over the past 12 months:

What we collectWhy we use itWho receives it
Contact details, such as name, email and phone numberProviding the Services, contacting you, offers and agreements, securityService providers, data partners, legal and safety recipients
Business and professional details, such as company, title, Data Manifest answersPreparing offers, introductions to data partners and licensing partners, agreementsService providers, data partners, licensing partners
Agreement and payment details, including bank detailsCarrying out agreements and paying youService providers (payment, legal, accounting)
Calls and messages with usCommunicating with you, quality, record-keepingService providers
Usage and device dataRunning, securing and improving the ServicesService providers (hosting, analytics)

On most of our site, we do not sell or share (for cross-context behavioral advertising) the personal information of visitors we identify as being in California, because our advertising tags do not load for them. Our page for AI data buyers (wynora.co/source) is the exception: the Meta Pixel and Google Analytics load there for California visitors, and when you submit its request form, we send Meta a hashed copy of your email address and name so it can match the request to an ad. California law may treat this as "sharing". You can opt out at any time with a Global Privacy Control signal, which stops our tags from loading, or by emailing us with the subject "Opt Out", and we will stop. We use bank details only to pay you, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose that would give you a right to limit it.

California's "Shine the Light" law lets residents ask whether we share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing. We do not. California residents can also use the rights in "Your rights" above.

Users outside the U.S.

Wynora is based in the United States, and our service providers may store or process information in the U.S. and other countries. If you use the Services from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from yours. Where the law requires, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for these transfers.

Children

Our Services are for businesses and are not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete it. If you think we may have information from someone under 18, email privacy@wynora.co.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our Services change. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and for significant changes we will let portal users know by email or in the portal, or as the law requires.
